Software Developer (No Agencies)

eBrands is looking for a Software Developer to join our team, to help develop our data warehouse and analytics systems. We are building a platform that collects, joins and presents data from multiple sources, brands and channels. You will be working with a team of other software, data and cloud developers to build integrations and services that help us utilize data in the best possible way.

We are using a modern technology stack on AWS; using services including EventBridge, Lambda, Redshift, SageMaker and Quicksight. We would like you to have experience of working with integrations, data pipelines and event driven architectures in a cloud environment - an understanding of developing BI dashboards and/or machine learning would be a big plus!

Our portfolio of brands is growing swiftly, data and analytics will be a critical part of ensuring the brands continue to grow quickly and efficiently.

Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing our AWS Infrastructure using the CDK library (Typescript)
  • Building and maintaining services that can connect to data sources and process this data efficiently and reliably
  • Develop reporting dashboards, and help to train colleagues to use these effectively  
  • Work with teams from sales, marketing and logistics to plan requirements (i.e what data is needed, where it is collected from, frequency, and reporting output)
  • Identify trends, metrics and useful insights that can help the business 
  • Investigate and find new data sources to improve reporting and forecasting
  • Help design and plan new integrations

This can be either a Helsinki based position, or fully remote. We are flexible with where you want to work, as long as you can work +/- 2 hours EasternEuropean Time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous working experience as either a full-stack or backend developer
  • Experience working with AWS or other public cloud providers
  • Experience with IAC
  • Strong Typescript skills
  • Strong SQL skills (Redshift experience a plus)
  • Ability to work with multiple teams to gather and define requirements
  • A solid approach to testing
  • A good understanding of performance, scalability and security
  • An ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Industry experience of eCommerce is a big bonus
