Overview
B&Q is the UK and Ireland's largest home improvement and garden retailer, selling online at diy.com and in its stores. Its marketplace on diy.com is one of the fastest-growing retailer marketplaces in the UK, with more than two million products from third-party sellers. For a DIY, garden, home or tools brand, B&Q Marketplace is one of the most important UK channels outside Amazon.
Who is behind B&Q
B&Q is part of Kingfisher plc, the London-listed home improvement group that also owns Screwfix in the UK, Castorama and Brico Dépôt in France, Castorama in Poland, and Brico Dépôt in Spain and Portugal. Kingfisher's total sales were about GBP 12.8 billion in its latest full year. The group has now launched marketplaces across all its main banners, and its total marketplace GMV grew 62%.

How selling on B&Q works
- Mirakl. Sellers manage their business on Mirakl, which connects to many multichannel tools and APIs.
- Cross-border sellers. Sellers from Ireland, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany can now sell to UK customers.
- Sponsored product ads help sellers gain visibility on diy.com.
- UK delivery and returns are the seller's responsibility, with UK customs and VAT for non-UK sellers.
- Product compliance with UK rules for the category, such as electrical safety or UKCA/CE marking.
Why B&Q matters for brands
B&Q is a trusted name for UK homeowners and tradespeople, and its marketplace brings a large, growing audience with a clear home improvement focus. Kingfisher's other marketplaces in France, Poland and Iberia can extend the same relationship to more countries.
