Overview
John Lewis is one of Britain's best-loved department stores, known for quality and service across home, fashion, beauty and technology, in stores and at johnlewis.com. In October 2025 it launched a curated supplier platform that lets selected premium brands sell online and ship directly to customers. For a premium brand that wants to reach UK shoppers, John Lewis is one of the most trusted retail names in the country.
Who is behind John Lewis
John Lewis is part of the John Lewis Partnership, which also owns the supermarket Waitrose and is owned by its employees, called Partners. In the year to 31.01.2026, Partnership sales grew 5% to GBP 13.4 billion. John Lewis launched 200 new and in-demand brands during the year, including an exclusive national partnership with Topshop, and its ambition is to be the definitive home for premium brands in the UK.
The John Lewis supplier platform
John Lewis's new platform, powered by Mirakl, lets it list and sell new brands online and in its app quickly. Brands ship orders directly to customers, so John Lewis doesn't need to buy, store and distribute the stock, which cuts the time to bring new products to market. Luxury footwear brand Russell & Bromley was one of the first partners. John Lewis also runs "deliver from store" from more than 20 stores and has piloted rapid delivery with Uber Eats.
