Overview
Newegg is one of the leading online retailers in the United States and Canada for computer hardware, PC components, gaming, consumer electronics and IT products. It sells its own range and runs Newegg Marketplace, where third-party sellers offer products to its tech-savvy customers, as well as a B2B site, NeweggBusiness. For a tech, gaming or electronics brand, Newegg is a specialist channel in North America that complements Amazon and Best Buy.
Who is behind Newegg
Newegg was founded in 2001 in California and is now listed on Nasdaq as Newegg Commerce, Inc. In 2025 it had revenue of about USD 1.4 billion. The company reported a record gross merchandise value (GMV) of USD 1.75 billion for 2025, which includes direct sales, marketplace sales and fees from its services. Marketplace GMV was around USD 350 million in the second half of 2025. Besides newegg.com, Newegg runs newegg.ca in Canada, Newegg Global for international customers, and NeweggBusiness for business buyers.

How selling on Newegg works

- Commission per sale. Fees depend on the category and, according to integration partners, typically range from about 8% to 15%, including card processing fees.
- Seller plans. Newegg offers different membership plans with more tools and support at higher levels.
- New-seller incentives. Newegg has offered first-time sellers reduced commission fees for up to 90 days, and free storage for three months when using Shipped by Newegg.
- Payouts on a regular schedule.
What a brand should think about
- Detailed technical content, since Newegg's customers compare specifications closely.
- US and Canadian compliance, such as FCC rules for electronics.
- Competitive pricing next to Amazon and other tech retailers.
