PcComponentes

Overview

PcComponentes is Spain's leading online retailer of technology and electronics, known for computer components, gaming, laptops, smartphones and home appliances. It sells online in Spain, Portugal, France and Italy, runs a few physical stores, and operates a marketplace with more than 2,100 sellers. For a tech, gaming or electronics brand, PcComponentes is one of the most important channels in Spain and a growing one in other Southern European markets.

Who is behind PcComponentes

PcComponentes was founded in Alhama de Murcia, Spain, where it is still headquartered, and is led by its co-founder and CEO Alfonso Tomás. It grew rapidly during the pandemic: in 2020 its revenue rose more than 60% to EUR 647 million. It opened its Portuguese website in 2017 and launched in France and Italy in November 2023, with dedicated local teams and customer service. Its logistics centre of around 40,000 square metres supports fast delivery, and it is known in Spain for its "five-star" customer service. It also has physical stores, including in Madrid and Barcelona.

The PcComponentes marketplace

PcComponentes started its marketplace around 2019 and has turned it into a key growth driver, with more than 100,000 products. Depending on the category, the marketplace accounts for 11% to 22% of total volume. It has more than 2,100 sellers, but PcComponentes manages growth carefully and selects sellers so that the marketplace complements its own range without conflict. The marketplace runs on Mirakl and serves customers in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and Italy.

How selling on PcComponentes works

  • Local content for each country.

  • Integration through Mirakl Connect or multichannel tools such as ChannelEngine.

What a brand should think about

  • Competitive pricing next to Amazon.es and other Spanish electronics retailers.
