Overview

Westwing is Europe's leading premium e-commerce company for home and living, describing itself as Europe's number one in "Beautiful Living". It sells furniture, décor, textiles and lifestyle products, mostly from its own Westwing Collection, together with curated third-party design brands. It is present in around 30 European countries and also has a few physical stores. For a design-led home brand, Westwing is a premium, curated channel across Europe.

Who is behind Westwing

Westwing Group SE is based in Munich and listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It had gross merchandise volume (GMV) of EUR 497 million in 2024 and expected 2025 revenue of EUR 425 million to EUR 455 million. In 2025 it launched websites in ten new countries, including the Nordics, and opened four standalone stores and three store-in-stores. In the third quarter of 2025, GMV grew 5.4%, and the company generated positive free cash flow.

Own brand first

Westwing's strategy focuses on its own brand. The Westwing Collection grew 19% in 2025 and reached an all-time high of 66% of GMV in the third quarter, because own-brand products bring higher margins and stronger differentiation. At the same time, Westwing reduced its third-party range to a smaller, more premium and global selection, and third-party GMV fell sharply as a result.

How brands can work with Westwing

Westwing works with selected third-party design brands as a curated retailer, alongside its own collection. A brand approaching Westwing should be ready with:

  • A premium, design-led home brand with a strong aesthetic that fits Westwing's curated look.
  • High-quality imagery and product data.
  • Product content in many languages for Westwing's European markets.
  • Reliable supply and delivery, including for larger items.
  • Realistic expectations, since Westwing is focusing on its own brand and a smaller set of third-party brands.

Why Westwing matters for brands

Westwing reaches design-conscious shoppers across Europe in a premium environment. For the right brands, it offers strong positioning, although its own-brand focus means the selection of third-party brands is limited.
